Android Hangman

I enjoyed MadRods Tic Tac Toe plugin and think it's a fun add for an app. I think the only downside of it is that it's really more of a 2 player game. A client wanted to use it but then asked me about a single player game instead and they suggested "Hangman". The iOS was pretty quick to build from some samples I found - but I was super psyched to find some old android code out there that I was able to convert into a BT plug-in as well- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DQcgDEVjqU&feature=youtu.be Might be hard to tell - but that is LeBron James I'm stringing up there on the gallows. The client is in FL and we've been jawing all week over the Bulls/Heat series. I know we're doomed but we are putting up a good fight. Like most good Android code I've tinkered with, connecting related "activities" to the BT CP is tricky. You just can't subclass everything as a BT Activity despite what David might think :) SO a plugin like this really requires some source code editing to work in BT. Is something like this of interest to make into a plug-in - even if it requires some advanced editing to work? The iOS version doesn't have the categories like Android and i'll try to post of vid of that in action shortly-

Here's the iOS version: http://youtu.be/W09e1VgxhyU This one is much easier to drop into your project. All of the words are stored in a plist file. The Win/Lose images are customizable. This has background audio and sound effect options. a winner could "redeem" a code in that fantastic AK Voucher plug-in currently avaliable on the BT market....

I think it would make a good plugin. I am not sure about the advanced editing part.

@Atrain If buzztouch has ever lacked anything, it's a game engine or base for gaming app development enthusiasts. We've seen the bug plugin and tic tac toe - awesome, but I think the more plugins we get out like the one you're suggesting, the more potential buzzers will see in using buzztouch as a gaming platform base rather than a content platform base - do I sort of make sense? They can build from these plugins, or at least see a potential for a gaming app when presented with working models. Would be a great idea in my opinion, although I will never get into game development lol! Cheers mate, David https://buzztouchmods.com

Thanks guys. Love the idea of seeing some game work from you Kittsy. any good tricks on subclassing I can pull from your code to JSON up some of these referenced viewcontrollers would be great. I just did a memory matching one and it works great in BT, but connecting it to the CP vs just editing code to customize it is a tough call. @mrdavid Having tinkered with cocos2d a bit now I don't think there is a need for a BT game engine when killer ones like cocos2d and Unity exist. IIRC TM was working on one and folks were interested so who knows. I'm curious! I can see where BT makes a great "wrapper" for game devs - but a "BT2D" game engine - I think game devs will always have much better options. These are more of basic memory/logic type games that don't need animation, sprites and textures, etc... a bit more complex than a single VC like David's bug splat - but not insanely complex. I wish I had more time to tinker with cocos, I'm finding it's actually a lot of fun the more I play with it :)
