Emulator

Hi all. When I open my project on emulator in eclipse for the first time it's works fine but when i try to open it for the second time it's says "no compatible targets were find.do you wish to add a new AVD?" What am i doing wrong? And how can i make the refresh button to work in the emulator and the back button? Maybe my questions are silly but i am new in the android app development. Thanks

Not silly @Bali, the emulator's a pain. When you set up an AVD, tick "Hardware Keyboard present", you'll then have a menu button to show the refresh option, and a back button. "no compatible targets were find.do you wish to add a new AVD?" A few things you can try, one of them should work! Next to the emulator 'run' button is a drop down arrow, try 'Run as > Android application" If that doesn't work, use the drop down arrow to 'Run configurations" A box will pop up, select the 'Target' tab. There are some options in there you can try to get the app to open, I usually use "Automatically pick compatible device", but try them all. Hope that helps.

@Bali- you have not selected the target device (avd) thats why you are getting that notification. Follow the steps suggested by @raveyd and select compatible avd on which you want to run your app. @jvalley- You can install any app from various markets including google play store on bluestacks. It already has those apps pre installed on it. If you want to run your app on bluestacks while testing your app, all you have to do is first run the bluestacks player app and then open eclipse. And then from there all you have to do is select run as android app... if you have not already targeted your app to run on any specific device or avd, then it will directly run on bluestacks player. Your bluestacks player acts like your device do you can check any function on it just like on real device (except call features)...
