Cannot import BT_activity_root because the project name is in use

I downloaded the android version of my source code and opened it in Eclipse.... For some reason there are no images! I thought maybe there was a glitch so I deleted the android folder and zip and then re-downloaded a new source code package. Now when I'm trying to import the new project into Eclipse I get this message: Cannot import BT_activity_root because the project name is in use I've restarted Eclipse but still get the same message. I've also noticed no images or files in the bt_doc folder again! Please help sxywebgirl

Do you have another project named "BT_activity_root" in your project list? Eclipse now seems to use that name whenever you import a project. Just find the one with that name already in your list, right-click on it, select "refactor-->rename" and choose a different name. Be sure to do the same with your current project after you import it.

I think Chris is on the money. The first thing I do after an import is to rename the project after I import. The first time you did an import, it succeeded. In Eclipse, you should have a list of projects on the left - every time you import, Eclipse calls it BT_Activity_Root. You may have deleted the original folder on disk, but that may not have deleted it in Eclipse - it may have been imported and copied it to a different place.

I couldn't import so was unable to "refactor-->rename" On another forum post I found what worked.... I had to clear the old metadata from the workspace - but before I could do that I had to show hidden files on my mac. That is what was making me feel crazy, the workspace looked empty but really there was old metadata that I couldn't see! Holding my breath to see what it looks like in the simulator!
