Making menu items point to nothing

Sorry if this is a stupid or daft question, but is there an easy way of having a few items on the simple menu pointing to nothing?

You can if you manually edit the JSON, or use the JSON Snippet Keeper. I don't think you can do it straight from the control panel though.

Actually, try typing "None" into the box for the screen nickname. I think that might work.

Yeah i want to have a few things in the menu that arent clickable, and at the moment i just have a blank screen that i link them to and then delete when I'm done making the meu items. Just wondered if there was a quicker route to this. @chris1, what plugin do i name none?

no, when you add a menu item, instead of clicking the 'select' link, you can enter a name. I was saying try entering 'none' in that box - I seem to remember it might be set up to look for that. I could be wrong though.

The link could go back to the same screen?

@Chris1, just gave it a go and it doesn't work anymore. Would be brilliant if it did. @raveyd, i thought linking back to the same screen would work but there is no option to change the transition to nothing apparent, so it makes me feel as though a user would think something isn't working correctly.

awesome, with it is it possible to have the user go to screen 1 and fill out the form, and then on screen 2 a list is automatically populated of the data the user filled into the form, as many times as it is done?

yep - that's what my 2nd plugin is for, "User Settings" - for saving info to the device so the "Webform Generator" can pull from it.

They're in review. Like I said, hopefully in a week or two they'll be available.

If you're still trying to do this just do what jvalley said... 1. create a screen 2. add that screen to your menu 3. go to screen page and delete the screen that's it. the menu item will remain but when you click on it nothing will happen.

Cheers muzzy, i found that that works perfectly, just thought that maybe it'd be easy to have blank fields. Im sure someone will modify the plugin to work like that one day. Thankyou everyone for your support and advice!
