iPad or the iPad - iPhone or the iPhone

It's a really stupid question, but I just don't know what to use on my website. Should I say something like: "Compatible with the iPad and the iPhone 5" or "Compatible with iPad and iPhone 5" I notice Apple themselves don't use "the", but then it sounds a little incorrect to not use "the" before the object. What are your views?

If you listen to Steve Jobs talk, he specifically does not use "the" when referencing the iOS devices. The other Execs have difficulty in adhering to that rule. And so do I. To remind me, I put "Sally" in place of iPhone or iPad. That substitution makes it more agreeable to my mind and it helps to reinforce the concept. You would never say, "Did you have the Sally with you?" -- Niraj

Thanks. It's what I thought. Apple always avoids using 'the' but it just sounds grammically incorrect. But if I'm honest, it really doesn't matter!
