MessageView (SMS Plugin) Error in Simulator

Hi All, I noticed that in the iOS Simulator, when you click on any of the Message plugins, it loads a a blank screen with no back button. Is anyone else experiencing this error? Jake

I seem to remember that happening to me too. can't remember if I fixed or ignored it. Worked on a device though, and in the final app...

Not sure if it's related; I rarely work in the simulator. But when I get a screen that's blank, no title, no back button, it usually means something went boofoo when loading the screen. Typically it turns out to be my fault, screwing around with the filename being called (upper/lower case issues). Again, not sure if it's related. If you're not messing with custom plugins, I doubt this applies. But I figured I'd throw it out there, just in case... Cheers! -- Smug

The messaging part of the simulator doesn't work. It will work fine on the device. In the old days of buzztouch a message used to pop and say messaging not available on this device and then when you pressed dismiss it would return to the last screen, unfortunately now it doesn't. But it does work. Smug is right that if a plugin SCREEN (notice screen) doesn't have a back button it means the plugin isn't in the source code, xcode project. SMS, EMAIL and PHONECALLS are all ACTIONS. Actions are functions that are already in the code and don't require a screen.

The Email message screen works on the Simulator. Compose an email, enter junk into the To field and then hit Send. The mail will pretend to be sent and the window closes out. That is important, for then you will understand what screen is shown after the email is sent. -- Niraj
