Updating

I'm not sure why...but I updated my app in the store.. From the first version, I added two plugins..I also have the app in live mode.. I tested the upgrade and it worked great....It just to on the App Store and the update wasn't there.. I had config copied correctly I thought but the changes weren't made till I just hit publish...I thought I didn't need to do this if I just update through iTunes?. However the new plugins are not working..thinking they aren't in the package..I did download the new bt package with them in because it worked in Xcode... Where did I go wrong....also how do I start fresh in Xcode were it doesn't take the previous package info.. Confused

Sounds like you changed the binary, in that case you'll have to submit a update. Plugs arent in your old binary more then likely.

If any of the plugins have been added/removed/updated (in your 'inventory', not your control panel) since your initial release, then you have a different 'binary' that you'll have to submit via iTunes connect, similar to your initial release. For instance, If I create a new screen from an existing plugin, then I do not need to submit a new binary; the plugin was already compiled in the existing app. However, if I added a new or updated plugin, like the new fancy NAD advanced quiz, I would need to submit a binary update to iTunes. If you've only changed the configuration, then the configuration only 'BT_config.txt' file should be 'fed' to your app upon it discovering a new version, and you shouldn't need to submit a binary update. If your original binary release was in 'Live' mode, you'll need to press the 'publish changes' button to let the 'system' know there is an update the next time an app 'reports' in. If your original binary release was pre-2.1.8 or released in 'Design' mode, then 'any' change in the control panel will be reflected in the app on its next update. If you're submitting a new updated binary to iTunes, make sure that when you 'build' it for distribution, that the "version" has been incremented appropriately, so the iTunes system will recognize it as an update, and not an erroneous upload of the 'same' version. Hope this helps. Cheers! -- Smug

OK.. I have submitted two updates (new binaries).. both passed :) but the plugins are not working they are working in xcode as they are confirmed in the plug in folder as this is how i tested. On another note, I have been rejected for the 4th time on a app i did for a local friends business for free. I have used every plugin here and every time its a new little issue that they didnt have a problem with before..a little frustrating to say the least.
