Getting app onto phone

Guys and gals. The subject makes me look thick but there's more to the subject that you think. I have a friend who is going to start working with me. They will use my self hosting to do web front development. The problem is.... They don't own a mac and they live about 2 hours away from me. Is there anyway I can get an app we are creating onto his iPad/iPhone without having to connect to my mac? I will set his devices up as a test device in my developer account. Just wondering if its poss to create an ipa and email/upload? Thanks Steve

There's an 'Over the Air Distribution' link in every apps main screen in self hosted. I don't understand a word of it but it mentions ipa's, UDID's, Ad-Hoc and other weird stuff. Could be what you're looking for?

If they haven't changed yet, you need to have them provide you with their UUID for the iPhone. You enter that into your 'devices' list in your Apple Developer account, so that their device will be in the provisioning cert for the apps you create. OTA works, but with some modification; it's easier just to put it in your dropbox and have them download it from a public link there. If they are correctly provisioned, the app will install into their iPhone/iDevice. If not, it will fail midway. Just delete it and start again. Cheers! -- Smug

Can also use testflightapp.com - makes it much easier to do this.

looks like you need testflight sdk to get this working. IS it easy? is it free? are there any help guides out there to implement this sdk to a BT app? thanks

I don't think you need an sdk. You should be able to use the standard testflight install procedures.
