Scringo on iPad blocking navigation after orientation change

The topic title says it all! On iPad 2, at every orientation change, taps on tabs or menu items become totally (or sometimes just deeply) irresponsive. The only way to bring back responsiveness is to swipe and make the scringo sidebar appear, swipe again to make it disappear, and it's ok, tabs and menu items are responsive again... Bad bad bug! Any idea of what's going on? Thanks for any tips! Cheers Jack

Thanks for the info, Trouty! As I read in the forum that 2.1.4 was buggy (crashing apps), I hadn't tried... I just installed 2.1.5, seems ok now! For the 'tabs and buttons' issue, at least. But I still have problems with another issue, that may be related to Scringo too as I never had it before Scringo was implemented in BT... I use many different background images in my apps. With the app I'm currently upgrading, I have a bad issue: my tabs load different 'menu with image' screens with the same background image. In these menus, the buttons load screens that have different background images. The problem: when I go back to a menu from one of these screens, if I tap on the 'back' button everything's ok, but if I tap on a tab, the menu comes back with the background image of the former screen. Quite strange... In the output console, the messages say 'File does not exist in Xcode bundle' ... 'File does not exist in cached directory' ... 'BT_background_view: Image for background view does not exist in xcode project, or in cache and no URL provided, not downloading'... Ever seen such an issue? Cheers Jack

I'm using the version of Scringo packaged with Buzztouch for iOS, I'm not sure what verison it is. I'm guessing it's pre 2.1.4, because the Chat Room feature isn't showing up in the simulator. Can you tell me how involved it would be to install a newer version to an app that contains the packaged version? Thanks.

It's quite simple! Just download a new SDK at Scringo (preferably 2.1.5 - I had problems with the latest, 2.1.9) and replace the files in the BT_Core folder of your BT project (quit Xcode before replacing the files). Just a tip: in the Scringo download, you'll see aliases of some of the files. Use the real files (quite easy to find), not the aliases. Cheers!
