Just heard about pingjam for android. It pays out guaranteed money each month for every 1000 active installs. It only pops up ads when folk phone a business number eg. Some other services have had some great success on here, like Scringo social sharing and the Revmob ad network. If you're happy to help people out, and you're transparent with what you offer, they'll try your service. I think there's something like 125k members so it's worth the effort.
