Calling all Buzztouchers/Coders.

I've got an idea for a plugin that I'd like to develop. When I say ID like to develop I actually mean id like for US to develop. I really think this plugin could. 1. Make some good money on the Plugin Market. 2. Help people earn some really good money making B2B apps. At the moment my firm spends around £400 p/month using similar software. I have another firm asking me to set up this software for them they'll be spending around £2,000 p/month. Drum Roll please.....Mobile Forms. 'Mobile Forms' makes it sound like just adding a couple of UIPickerViews here and there and a couple of UITextViews here and there. Its really not. I believe that this is a project that could take some time, but you reap what you sow. I think this could diversify Buzztouch too, frankly there's millions of Mobile Forms users out there. Dont just think contact forms.... think interactive school lessons, think field engineers, think registrations. The possibilities are endless. How can we make this possible buzztouch? P.s. I have a fairly good idea of how the project would have to go. I'm thinking a GitHub repository.

Cheers Kaybee Whats the ETA for this plugin? If its a HTML form plugin then it possibly wont be quite the same thing. Im look at something that gives a service similar to that like Device Magic rather than creating a one use form like wufoo or Jotform.

It's not HTML - pure native. Will be a couple weeks or more before it gets out.

Sounds cool! Chris could you take a look at this ? <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApWloJG2E3UTdDI3MERVTTlHaGpwSlk0Wk04cU85MFE&usp=sharing" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ApWloJG2E3UTdDI3MERVTTlHaGpwSlk0Wk04cU85MFE&usp=sharing</a> Is there anything that your forms app doesn't cover? If its all of these I'm over the moon. EDIT: If it doesn't have validation options or expressions, then its probably not what I'm looking at. Cheers Nick

So mine has most not all of these. Support for a picker view is there but not fully implemented. What's missing is connecting it to the control panel, as that would require childItems of childItems, which isn't available on BT *yet*. You can add the items in via code if you have a single pickerView and know what you're doing. Validation and expressions aren't supported currently. Validation would be easy enough. Formulas/expressions would be trickier. How many forms are you creating on a monthly basis?

Yup i'd imagine expressions could be tricky. I suppose also it would depend how much you delved into expressions, supporting IF and AND statements would cover a lot of needs though. Around 100 a day so around 3000.

This is great. I think the best plugins in WEB based CMS systems have always been the form maker plugins. They're like a CMS inside a CMS! I agree that there is lots of potential here. I think it can and should be done. Maybe a bit too complicated for most usual applications though. But to raise the quality of the apps Buzztouch can make possible it is definitely needed.

wow that's a lot of forms! I'll see what I can do. Might be a good version 2.0 addition.

In my head at the start of today I would have quite liked to have achieved an open sourced on going BT project. I'm not interested in making any money on the plugin market, although i'd like to see something like this with all the features on there. That 100 forms a day could go up to around 700 in the next 6 months. At the moment I'm paying device magic around £7 per Device / per Month. We could have around 400 devices to pay for in six months so as you can imagine I'm keen to realise a project like this. EDIT: I wouldn't mind working with you on a possible 2.0, not interested in being paid. lol.
