Actually been on the Amazon Appstore since it opened and yesterday after reviewing my Appannie stats, I've done better with one particular paid app on Amazon vs Google Play. I think Google Play is a lot more over saturated than Amazon.. It doesn't hurt to add it and it was definitely a significant difference. You can do a live test as well before you submit it from the site as well.

Works for both, nothing special needed really. I had a problem as well with the first generation Kindle, but that has happened starting last year. A change in the sdk when the Firephone etc was introduced. The review process is finicky just a tad but its only about 24hrs or less :)

Blackberry is making their own android device. You can also submit android apps to their stores, though nobody really uses them

How do I submit the App to Amazon App Store. Is there a step by step guide? Any cost involved?

More specifically you can test your apk here to see if it will run. No login or free membership required to test https://developer.amazon.com/public/resources/development-tools/app-testing-service
