2xipad using BT Menu

Howdy, So I am using the BT Menu plugin.... and am trying to make my iphone app version into ipad compatible... I am using pictures for my tabs and my ipad version got rejected because the pics got all pixelated. I was told on another post that I can use @2x~ipad to somehow make it work.... but how? I can only reference one picture in my buzztouch control panel when customizing the menu... thanks

I have not tried this with tab icons myself, but if you drop the high res versions with the @2x name suffix into your Xcode project, alongside the existing images, that might work.

And the images themselves have to be bigger than the standard images, so they display correctly on all devices. You can't just copy and rename the original image, otherwise you'll end up wit pixelated images. You end up with two distinct images as part of your project. Mark

So what you're saying is that i should have 2 files... for example, file.png and file@2x~ipad.png within my xcode project... and then in buzztouch I refer to the file.png, and it should automatically use the file@2x~ipad.png when I use the iPad?? So really I could use two seperate pics as long as they have the same file name with the appropriate suffix... thank I will try it and let you know what happens

Right. Two files, of different sizes to account for the resolution differences, with different names. Then just refer to the iPhone size, and it'll select the other automatically for the correct device. Mark
