Icons In Menu with image

For Android I am trying to put icons in the menu with a image. However the image falls on top of the title words.. How do i move the words over a bit?? I did this for IOS and it worked fine without moving anything Thanks

I bumped up the left margin from 50 to 85. Can't remember if it was in the layout or in code; I suspect code, but I'm not near my machines, so I cannot confirm. This still wont cure it for 'all' android devices. Just 'most'. My wifes Samsung Galaxy Nexus still hides a little of the first letter, but it looks better than without the adjustment. Unless we build layouts for all kinds of devices, you'll face this. Cheers! -- Smug

Scan through the code and look for mentions of the margin... I won't be home for another few days, and only brought my tablets... Cheers! -- Smug

Off topic... >I won't be home for another few days, and only brought my tablets... It makes you wonder why you cannot create apps from your tablets, doesn't it?

Actually with 'dapp' I can do a LOT of prototyping, but no compile. Still, it's a great tool for little money... http://dapp.kerofrog.com.au/ Cheers! -- Smug

Sorry for jumping in late, everyone. I have some optional modifications and corrections posted on the discussions page for the plugin. https://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/discussions.php?pid=F018606BDA6027B90A3ED49 I will fix this problem in the next update. There is one more problem I am still seeking a solution for, but it isn't as serious. I have a Nexus 7 (a book reader size), and the 1536px image won't stretch across the screen in portrait mode. I may need a separate XML file for that device.

Sure. Sorry about that. The file is in: src->WB_screen_menuImage.java.

I'm having same problem, below is my code as it stands, which margin numbers should I adjust? Thanks for the help in advance!!! ///Set location for text if there is or is no icon (SAS) if(iconView == null){ BT_debugger.showIt(fragmentName + ": There is no icon so setting text at left margin."); RelativeLayout.LayoutParams lp = new RelativeLayout.LayoutParams(RelativeLayout.LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT, RelativeLayout.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT); lp.leftMargin = 5; lp.rightMargin = 55; lp.addRule(RelativeLayout.CENTER_VERTICAL); titleView.setLayoutParams(lp); descriptionView.setLayoutParams(lp); }else{ BT_debugger.showIt(fragmentName + ":There is an icon so setting text to the left of the icon."); RelativeLayout.LayoutParams lp = new RelativeLayout.LayoutParams(RelativeLayout.LayoutParams.FILL_PARENT, RelativeLayout.LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT); lp.leftMargin = 105; lp.rightMargin = 55; lp.addRule(RelativeLayout.CENTER_VERTICAL); titleView.setLayoutParams(lp); descriptionView.setLayoutParams(lp); }
