How to refresh

I was watching the videos a while back and remembered a tutorial where the guy made in update to the app in buzztouch and then a few seconds later it was updated in the emulator. I'm having a hard time finding that tutorial and would like to know how to do that. Or maybe I misunderstood or maybe I was dreaming.

Hey avalosf2! Great to have you part of the community. The feature you're talking about is actually the hallmark of Buzztouch. Most updates you make on Buzztouch.com to your app (through what we call the 'control panel') are automatically pushed out to your app. The only caveat to that is the new Live/Design mode, where you can choose to submit your app to the app store under 'live mode', where any changes you make on the online control panel are only pushed out to the app if you click on "Publish Changes"

I made a few changes in the control panel and nothing changed when I load it on the emulator. Is there a tutorial that shows me what I need to do?

Welcome! To refresh Android you can press the 'menu' key. On iOS the refresh is on the top left of the main screen. Like chris said, the live/design mode requires a publish 'after' you've altered the BT_config.txt file for live use; in design mode (the default) the refresh 'eventually' happens depending on network speed. Be sure to change that before you publish to the markets. Cheers! -- Smug

Ok, thank you. I'll keep playing with it. I'm sure I'll have more questions.

Ha! I pressed the "menu" key and refreshed like you said and it worked! Thanks again.

Just so you know, if you close the app and then open it again, it should automatically check to see if a refresh is needed. That way, users don't have to worry about pressing the menu button to see if there's updated content.
