Map tiles

Before I submitted my app to Google, I tested it on both the emulator & a live device and everything tested fine. Now that it's published, when I install the app, the Google Map tiles do not show up. Two questions... 1. At this point, can I fix it? 2. What could possibly cause this to occur? Judy

Hi Judy, When you tested it using the emulator and live device, I'm assuming that you were using the debug release key and the Maps API key generated using it? When you signed the app for Google Play, you'll have to have used a release keystore. Did you also get a Maps API key using that keystore, and put the key in the strings.xml file? You can fix it, we just need to understand what the problem might be. Mark

Hi, Mark... Before I released it, I used the release keystore and Maps API accordingly. Also put the key in the strings.xml file and changed the screen_maps to release. Judy

Hi Judy, Very strange...it should be working. Try deleting the old debug app from your device and loading the new one. Mark

Uninstalled the app from the Android device and reloaded it. Still same result. I was really looking forward to marketing this app for my company during their first trade show....I really don't want to advertise a partially functioning app. :( Judy

Hi Judy, I'd be more than happy to check out your project if you'd like. Just zip everything up and send it to MrkFleming at gmail dot com, and I'll see what's up. Mark
