Google API level match in AVD

Hi guys, I've created some very simple basic screens on buzztouch and wanted to run the application on the Eclipse simulator. The app is configured to use Google API's level 8 (set in properties). However, when creating a new Android Virtual Device (AVD) it would only allow me to target Android 4.2.2 devices running on API level 17. No matter what devices I choose from the drop-down, Google API level 8 has never appeared in the target field. Am I missing some steps here? Would be glad if someone could help me out with this. Cheers

Hmmm... Have you installed the relevant google APIs from the SDK manager? I also found that after defining a new device in the AVD manager, it would flip back to android, and I would always have to reset it to Goggle API

Yep, give this video a view. It'll show you how to download the Google API in the SDK Manager: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFGF3_r9YIA Mark
