app activation and user usage controls HELP needed

Im well on my way with my first app. i have a prototype working on simulator and real phone. all that left is adding more content and deployment. with that said, i am unsure of how to control who can and cant use my app. i plan on selling it as a tool with information for a certain trade. i envision a serial code the customer would be supplied after purchase for one time activation and code only be able to be used once. have done some searching on topic and not finding out much on how to do this. plan on having free access to the actual app but only usable with activation. any info or help with this or a new activation concept would be great. i have seen some of the plugins that allow for this but unsure if the code can be re-used by another person on another phone or not.

Hi, maybe you could use the splash screen with password... Cheers.

I would use the in-app purchase as your first screen, or as the only link from your first screen. It would then unlock a menu screen that has links to the rest of your app

ok.. thanks for the replies. guess ill go into a little more detail of what im wanting. im creating an app that will provide information for the user to do his job. this app i dont want usable to the general public. it will be sold by myself and a few distributors to the users. what i had in mind is an activation similar to what microsoft has in its no internet phone activation. a one time challeng response code activation. the reason is to prevent simple download and usage of another users activation or login/password. i looked into the login screen plugin. it seems any user can use any of the password/logins. is there a way to have each user and only that user to be able to user there login/activation/usage to access the app. or maybe only be able to be installed on an approved phone id serial ?? currently the app has no outside resources needed or accessed. i expect the app to have to access some kind of verification server for any type for activation. the in app purchase seems like a good way but how would a distributor benefit from its sales of the app then? this is my first app and im still dont know how after the app is finished how its access by said user to be installed. is the install file just an ftp download that the phone automatically installs. or is there a certain process the phone has to receive to want to install an app?? now im just rambling ...sorry
