Hi firstly is anyone using the new XIB Button Menu Plugin? It is fantastic plugin and worth the investment. However I have noticed a bug with it, or what I believe is a bug. Basically when I add my screens to the buttons in the BT control panel, these screens do not remain in the control panel and when I refresh the page in the control panel or I go back to add another screen to a button, none of the screens I have previously added are there and I have to add them all again. Can this be fixed?

Are they staying as childItems in your BT_config.txt?

yes, they are but don't show in the control panel after I insert.

sounds like a bug. Do they appear in sim?

Everything works fine but the screens I have selected for each button are no longer visible and if I were to save this section then nothing would appear so I have to keep adding. I will send Mutzy a PM and may be they can let's us know how to fix. Nick, do you have the plugin? It is a smart plugin apart from this minor issue.

Yeah sounds like a good plan. Sounds like a bug. To be fair I was waiting to see if the plugin becomes available for all menus not just the HomeScreen menu.

I noticed that before submitting the plugin. It's not so much a plugin issue as it is a problem with the JSON and the server. Susan tried helping me but to no avail. It was fixed when the plugin was initially released, not sure what happened. Be assured though the JSON data is saving so the plugin works fine, but I'll let David and Susan know this happened again. Nick- what do you mean "all menus"? The good (and I guess bad) thing about this plugin is you design it to look EXACTLY the way you want. I, and most people, tend to do this for the home menu screen but you could use it for any screen you want. People often ask if you can use it multiple times in one app. Well, that depends. If you design your xib file to look like just a menu screen, and not necessarily the HOME menu screen, then you could absolutely use it more than once per screen. But the pictures would be the same every time, and you would only be able to change the screen that opened when the pictures (icons) were clicked. Mutzy (thanks for the response) I see so once you alter the XIB in Xcode the plugin calls from that XIB each time you use the plugin within your application! So... in theory if you had two separate plugins named "XIB Button Menu Plugin 1" and "XIB Button Menu Plugin 2" you could have 2 different custom made menus within your application and so on? -Nick Super Jealous of Honduras.

Hi Nick been going through this process with Mutzy as I want to use the plugin more than once for different layouts within the same app, but struggling to get the 2nd plugin to work. Please let me know if you are able to do so.

@mutzy: Just purchased your 'XIB Button Menu' It's a nice plugin, thx. I also just found this and other threads about the BT control panel issues of the not pulling the saved variables from the db after saving it's settings. I see these issues still exist (2 months later). From the developer perspective it's a real maintenance headache, if you want to modify the plugins settings you need to make sure you configure the entire plugin over again each time. @mutzy, @susan: I would hope there is a plan in place to fix this plugin's issues soon as it's really more than a minor bug. @mutzy, @susan: It may help in your troubleshooting to know also that when you download the plugin source files from the BT control panel there are what looks to be 2 extra files (they look like the base plugin files without any of the customized code added yet). These 2 files are not needed to run the plugin. The files downloaded are: jm_1.png - jm_12.png JM_Xib_button_menu.h jm_Xib_button_menu.m JM_Xib_button_menu.xib JM_Xib_button_menu~ipad.xib Xib_button_menu.h Xib_button_menu.m The last 2 files are files that should not be included.
