You will need to register your device and get your developer certificates in your apple developers account. Take a look at this .. It should point you in the right direction just follow the steps. http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=10EFDB8B90E3CEA983E9322&sortColumn=FT.id&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=6

I'm having the same problem- my first app works fine in the simulator, but can't archive it. Get the same error message. If you figure it out, please drop me a note and let me know what works. I've been trying to figure it out for 3 days- between google, here, Xcode help, developers notes- without much luck. Thanks.

If you're an Apple developer, but you don't have an iPhone or other device, I've noticed if it was set for 'simulator' and not 'iOS Device', the 'archive' menu option wasn't available. If you're not an Apple Developer, then you'll need to start there. Don't know if that's your issue, but it's worth a glance... Cheers! -- Smug

Yeah this one sometimes gets me still, make sure at the top left in Xcode it reads Run, Stop, "YOUR-APP-NAME-HERE", iOS Device. If the latter is set to iPad 6.1 Simulator or iPhone 6.1 Simulator you wont be able to archive. :) -Nick

Finally got it to test on the iPhone but not all images or documents are showing. Everything has been added to both the BT_Docs and the xcode project. "Data for this screen has not been downloaded. Please check your internet connection." So frustrated!
