Lexical or preprocessor issue

I am still having this error. I have now completely deleted my project from Xcode and re-downloaded from the control panel and started over. It runs on the simulator but I get the error when I run it on my phone: Lexical or preprocessor issue 'foundation/foundation.h' file not found It is in BT_navigationController.m I have xcode version 4.6 Please help if you can. Thanks

Are you trying to use parse? Is there any 'red' in your 'Frameworks' ? (The place to look would be in your 'Build Phases' page, in 'Link Binary With Libraries'.) Make sure nothing is 'red' and if it is, either find it and include it, or set it to 'optional' and try again. Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks Smug, There are several frameworks that are red including the foundation framework. What do you mean by "include it"? I see how to set them to optional. Should I change all the red ones to optional? Sorry I'm such a noob Randy j

Ah the days of being a noob... Don't sweat it; we all started at the beginning sometime. :) For the moment, just change them to optional and see how it goes. The 'real' solution is to find what is causing it, and either fix it, or get rid of it. But at this junction, let's just see if we can get it to compile, and we'll go from there. Cheers! -- Smug

Ok I changed all the red ones to optional. Anything I need to do before running?

Any frameworks that are red need adding again. Sounds like the buzztouch backend spat out a dodgy download. On the same menu where you can change optional. Click the add+ and add them again

Ok, when I click the add+ the drop down menu does not have them so do I use the "other "choice and type them in ?

Still don't understand. When I type the framework name, it's going to a down load screen or something but I'm not finding the framework I'm looking for. I'm going to clear it all out and start with a fresh download.

Just to chime in ..I had a similar problem..for some reason bt never put a good package together from the download for the app no matter what did... I had to scrap and start over..now I just start with a menu and some links and test on sim and I know I'm good to go...just a thought

Nothing more frustrating than a new project that has issues from the start. Let us know how you're going and if you're still having issues. Don't let it frustrate you too much; I'm sure it's something that can be worked out. Cheers! -- Smug

I am still having trouble finding the frameworks that I need to add. Still works great on the simulator. Is there somewhere I can go to find the files to import since they don't seem to be there after the download?

yes, all the provisioning and certificates seem to be right. It has been running on my phone & something happened to cause this problem. I was still working on it with it on my phone & I suspect that I did something to the frameworks attempting to add an analytics program because that's when it first quit. I have since gone back and removed those files and completely reloaded the project. Is it possible that something got messed up in that process?

you have also redownloaded the source code, so that shouldn't be an issue. you may need to delete your derived data, you can do that in preferences, delete this, delete the app of your phone completely, reset the simulators, then clean. Then run. If that doesn't work feel free to zip up the package you are working with, send me a dropbox link and I will take a look for you. PM me the link if that is what you decise
