Design brief - what format do you prefer?

Hi guys, I've sketched out a design brief for a proof of concept android app (multiple choice quiz) and I'm wondering what's the preferred format for passing it over to developers? Obviously the easiest way for me would be to scan the sketches but it'd look poor and may be open to mis-interpretation! I can put into other formats such as axure, visio, word, paint, etc, but visio and axure would require developers to have their own copies of these installed. So what's the norm for all developers? do you have any hates/preferences when it comes to reading a design brief? Thanks! Clapp Trapp PS: I did intend to develop the app myself but the plug in for multiple choice quizzes disappeared so I'm hoping to pay someone to do the work (won't be masses of cash as it's PoC, and also it's as basic as it can be).

By the way, is this the best category for requests like this - thought there may have been a better place but couldn't find it!

I personally like visio, and you can export as a JPG if your developer doesn't have Visio. That said, I also tend to actually use powerpoint too, as it allows for easier moving of things, and a lot of apps can view PPT decks.

@ClappTrapp, You can use paint or word as long as it's universal. I would suggest for Android in a png format. If you need any help or assistance email me on here @buzztouch. LA

Because I work on the mac, almost all my design documents end up as PDF files. This makes it easy for anyone to view whatever I distribute. Cheers! -- Smug (PS, as a side note; if you refresh the page after a post, you'll double post. 'leave' the thread, then return via a link).
