Any news on an RSS plugin?

Does anyone have news on an RSS plugin? Someone previously mentioned they had made one and were planning on submitting it to the plugin market.

Hi Shak77 Mine is still in the queue "waiting for approval." I think there are several new plugins coming to the market very soon.

Android RSS is a pain. I hacked around for quite a bit then shelved it. May come back to it if no one else is able to tackle it soon. Ended up doing a mod that loads a custom url for Android only and the rss for iOS. The custom url uses rssinclude.com. Works pretty well and lets me build one app for both iPhone and Android. 5 or six in both markets now using this - but it sure would be nice to get a good Android RSS plugin going.

Hey @chris1, that's a great idea. Never even thought of trying that. May give me a new project to try this week.

I've hacked up the MWFeeddParser project six ways to Sunday and the sticking point is always the image element. Not even the good Wenderlich RSS tutorials have the image display in the listview of feeds. Extracting it and getting it sized properly to display is the trick. and then the detail view.... Great to hear one is in the works. Happy to purchase that just so I can crack it open and see how that stuff is coded. Suvinay sent me a great Android one I'm trying to find time to play with. It used the SAX parser and appeared to extract and display that image element quite nicely.

Use Php Simple HTML Dom parser. You can pull links out, like links to images, to then use how you like.
