Downloading Source Code

I am having some issues downloading the source code. When I go to download the code I get the Loading Package Source Code screen but the circle just spins. I do not get an error code. I recently installed self hosting 2.1.8 and was able to download the source code for an app. I updated the icon to ensure it was 114x114 and a jpg file. Any suggestions on what the error could be? Thanks

Does this happen on both iOS and Android source code downloads?

Try clicking the download source code for Android and see if the same error occurs. That might give a clue.

Then it sounds like there's an issue with being able to connect to Buzztouch.com. I would check to make sure your API keys are set up correctly and that your server address is correctly displayed on the Buzztouch.com "self hosted" settings.

I'm still curious if it's a browser thing... I get code 'more often than not' with Google Chrome, but sometimes it will hiccup. In those instances, I switch to a different browser (in my case, Safari). It's a thought... Cheers! -- Smug Edit: and there have been a couple of cases where an incomplete config file after the upgrade caused a few issues. There are a few more variables to ensure are correct in 2.1.8...

Also, in your developer profile you have settings for your developer environment. Not sure if this would have anything to do with it, but it might be worth checking. Maybe you have some random numbers plugged in there and is messing up the build. -Shane

I have checked the settings in the config.php file. I have tried to download the source code in Safari and in Firefox with no luck. I have checked my API and secret code and get "Success! Registration key and settings are valid". In general, navigating through the self hosting environment is very slow. When I look at the self-hosting server on the Buzztouch web site the API calls are increasing.

Hmm - and you haven't had any luck since upgrading, but it worked fine before the upgrade? I'm wondering if some file(s) didn't get copied over okay during the upgrade. Try running the uploading the config file again or running the update install again?

I looked in the temp folder of the files directory and I see the package. It only has the xcodeproj file, BT_Art, BT_Config, BT_Layout, and BT_Core folders.

Interesting - that makes me think it's pulling from Buzztouch okay, but then having problems compiling the plugins on your server's side. Try deleting those files in that temp directory and trying again? If that doesn't work, I'd still consider reinstalling the self-hosted files on your server.

I have reinstalled the self-hosting software. I also deleted the files from the temp folder. I am still having the same issue.

Check your php settings; someone is going to need to know them sooner or later anyway... create a file on the root of your BT hosted directory, and call it 'info.php' put this line in the file, open it from the browser, and save the results. <?php phpinfo(); ?> When you've saved the results, delete the file; it's a security issue. Cheers! -- Smug

What I find is interesting is when I refresh my plugins in the plugin manager I get an error message that says "Error Saving?". Also, when I download plugins from buzz touch.com it shows that two plugins that are on my self hosting server in file/plugins folder are showing as not installed. I am going to try and reinstall them and see if that helps. The issue is that the self hosting is extremely slow in loading each page. It can take 30-60 seconds to transition from one page to another.

It definitely shouldn't take that long to load pages unless there's an issue with your server or your connection. Going from one page to another in your control panel doesn't connect to buzztouch.com at all - it's simply processing the files that have been uploaded to your server. I'm guessing you're too far along to delete everything and install from scratch, huh?
