Success!

Thanks to all at Buzztouch and on the forums, I have just had my first app approved- first time.... https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/levens-garden/id622347091?mt=8 or LevensGarden if you do a search. It is free for the moment- grab a copy and let me know what you think... Special thanks to Kittsy for his beautiful carousel menus and for coding tweaks to give the app some polish. Buzztouch and the community are awesome. Before I stumbled on this site, I had never touched code, and now, although I am still far from fluent, with all your help I have an app in the app store! So, now it is onwards and upwards to the android version.... wish me luck! Thanks again everyone... Chris

Looks sweet my good man, downloading now. First class, big garden man myself, come on Spring! You'll knock Android version out of the park.

Looks nice! I tried to download, but it says the app required iOS 6. My phone is running iOS 5.x. Not sure if that's intentional on your part or not to restrict downloads to just people running iOS6? If not, you can submit an update with an update to the target iOS. Mark

The app looks stunning, well done. Everything looks great lively images, the notes look great with the white text. Marks right I'm guessing you limited the ios version due to using the invisible twitter and Facebook, I know your already planning an update, i can fix that code for you so it works down to any ios. Plus I've been working with image overlays for maps that could add some pizazz to your maps section, I'm looking for a guinea pig

I just downloaded it and I really like what you have created. Very impressive, especially for your first app! Makes me want to put on the garden gloves and get digging. Great job.

Thanks all. Sorry Mark- I set the iOS 6 tag because of the invisible Facebook and Twitter plugins. With kittsy's great guidance perhaps I can fix that in the next update. I remember seeing something in the forums about it, but at the time I thought it was a bit advanced. I'll have another look... And Kittsy- I'll be happy to be your Guinea pig for mapping pizzaz! Maps for here at Levens are a bit of a let-down... Google's satellite view was up to date and much more detailed than Apple's version- but Apple's version is what we are stuck with right now. By the way, anyone spot the missing three images in one of the garden sections? Fortunately Apple's reviewer missed it too! Not sure how that happened, but they're back in for the first update... Thanks again. Chris

Hey Kittsy, I just checked back for the references to using the invis Facebook and Twitter plugins on pre iOS 6. You showed a way for the app not to crash out, but not the fully functional fix for earlier versions. Have you got that code massaged into submission fully now? Thanks Code Master... Chris
