itunes store: 30 days left to upload your binary (day 27)

Hello - I may have pushed the cart before the hoarse on this one. I reserved my app name a few months ago, Apple says it was six... At any rate, time flies. My binary is due in the next few days. Of course, it's not up to prime-time standards and another project has me sidetracked. As a game plan, what happens if you submit a binary that you know will get rejected, just to keep the app name alive. After that submission, how much longer do you have to submit a new version? Timeline Example: 1) app that loads website is submitted 2) app is rejected 3) [how many days do you have in this period before you have to send in a new binary to replace the rejected one]? Thanks as always~! And... To keep from having this predicament in the future, next time I'm waiting until the package is complete before fooling around with itunes connect

Hey. Done this. Few times, upload then reject, you'll be cool. Buys you all the time in the world. Worry not.

I hear you. Have done it a few times. Can see why it is in place as it stops (almost) app name squatters. I recently had an app that I added to iTunes connect and then decided to publish under another dev account. Deleted the reference from my iTunes connect and immediately added to second account. Chrome and Safari open at the time and logged in, managed to re-grab the name. Bit crazy. Anyway.....
