Android: Maps Plugin Device not Reporting Location:

Hi All, I am having trouble with the Map Plugin. It will not load the view of the streets, only gray grids. When I tap on "Tap for Directions", the device says "No Location Found". It's a little different in Android, for some reason... 1) do you have the App set to 'update location' (in your BT Control Panels 'Core' section) 2) do you have the GPS turned on? and 3) and most weird, despite the fact that I have my GPS turned on, my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" tablet will NOT find anyplace unless I 'also' have "Location and Google Search" checked as well. I don't think it 'should' have to, but it does. Maybe yours does too? The 'grey' grid looks like you're not using the correct google api key for your maps. Remember that there are two distinct api keys needed; one for debug, and one for release. Most people disregard the debug, and just use release. Either way, you'll need to edit a couple of files to use one or the other; check to make sure they're set correctly. Check in your 'strings.xml' and make sure the key is set for the type you're using. Check in your 'screen_map.xml' and make sure the API Key is correct. And you 'may' want to change the 'zoom' level of the map when it finally appears. line 784 BT_screen_map.java:  mapController.setZoom(15); Cheers! -- Smug
