Orientation issues with Video Player

I have, today, worked on a client app that is required, for the most part, to remain in Portrait. I have disabled orentations in the code in the appdelegate.m file. The knock on effect is that nothing can orientate. However, i would like my video to play in landscape as well as portrait. Is this possible to achieve without disabling the orientation of the rest of the app? Cheers

If you've already disabled it, you can add some sort of 'If it's the screen I want Rotate, otherwise don't...' code... Just a thought. Cheers! -- Smug

I'm trying to understand it. When I use a video player I would use the built in devices player. So, it would respond as it should. This, being a plugin is the screen. I don't want the view to rotate, just the player when it plays. That's where in stuck!

oh... you don't want the 'screen' to rotate, you want the player 'within' the screen to rotate. Hmmm... That's a good one. Off hand I'm not really sure. The 'built in video' code seems to start around line 313 of your BT_viewControllerManager.m file; maybe something can be done there... Determining screen orientation within the plugin can be done using 'layoutScreen', but I'm not exactly sure what to follow that with... I don't know if it can work, but if it 'has' to be done, perhaps you can create two screens, with different orientations, and just swap between the two...? Of course, that might not work out while the video plays... Good Luck! Cheers! -- Smug
