Sound Off On Webinars

Hey guys. Absolutely love the functionality of how we can watch past webinars for members. Very organized and easy to get to. However, could we please please please either have pdf's that accompany the video or have another editor that syncs up the sound with the video. Very hard to follow. Thanks for your hard work. Sheri

A good way to solve the issue is to have two videos running at once, one is sound on, and is a few seconds ahead, and one is sound off that is the video you'll be watching. That's what I do.

Thomas my timing is so off. It's hard for me to walk and chew gum let alone sync up videos. But will try next time. Outing myself out a bit..in the past I would screen shot with camtasia myself and then able to watch it later for reference. Lately been uber busy to do this. Relying on the youtube...I am wondering if it is a GotoWebinar snyc issue. I work loads better with video playing and pdf to reference from. But that is just my learning style.

I agree Sheri, The webinars are great but it's really hard to follow technical explanations when the video is out of sync with the audio :( @Arubaman thanks for that site, I'll give it a go. cheers

Which video or videos are out of sync? I can tell you the video and audio are in sync after recording. They seem to get out of sync after uploading to YouTube, particularly if the webinar includes a PowerPoint / Keynote section (at the beginning is the most troublesome). I have recompiled these videos using several different tools, all with the same result.

@Warren, they are all slightly off sync. It is sometimes a little irritating. It's weird how YouTube might place them out of sync. That is very strange. I think it might be the recording tool. If you use a different program to record the webinar, you may want to look at alternative, like Screenium!

@warren. In particular, the most annoying ones were Q&A 3/19 and Let's build a plugin. What distracts me is with David's teaching style he jumps around. Which is fine. I can follow him but when the audio get's out of snyc then the whole thing gets crazy. How about an easier fix and have David or someone just put the sample code he is referring to in the video as a download to go with it. When he made the bug smash plugin he did that and it was awesome. Do you think that could be doable? Thanks so much Sheri
