Removing all files from /source-android/

Hi all, I have a few plugins I'm constantly removing from my eclipse environment in apps. I was wondering what would happen if I simply removed the files from /source-android/ in those plugins (on my self hosted server plugins folder) since I won't be using them in android, including iOS plugins only. This way when I download a new package, those "incompatible" files will not be in my project and will save me time from removing in eclipse. Seems to me would make my job much easier/faster? I feel like I'm missing something through, any ideas? What would happen? Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

As long as you're the only one with access, nothing will happen 'in iOS'. In android, nothing will happen 'unless' you call these screens in your project. Unlikely, but you asked. ;) Cheers! -- Smug

Hiya Smug, I make separate apps for android versions. So my android versions never call for apple version plugins, but eclipse still wants me to remove those plugin files or it throws me errors. In this case, I simply hate going through res/source/layout to remove apple plugins with android errors for every single app I download. With menu list simple advanced, I always removed android files after import into eclipse, just removed the files from /source-android/ on the server, next time I download a android app I'm thinking it will already be removed then and all works fine, am I on the right path? Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

Right, as long as you've got different 'versions' you should be good. Removing them on the server side will not present a problem, providing you don't try and use a non-existant file in a project. Sounds like you're on the right track. Cheers! -- Smug

I nuke the Android files that I know I won't use on the server inside the soucre-android folder. No issues and saves a lot of hassle when starting new projects up. Even if you don't use the plug-in, they are still listed as 'activities' in your Android manifest. You can remove them from there too if you like to keep a clean manifest.

Yes, this is a great tip from @Atrain! Saves me having to do all the renaming etc in eclipse for a couple of the BTM plugins that only work with iOS. cheers
