xcode 6 crashes as soon as it's launched

I have a MacBook Pro that has run Xcode 4.2 with no problem. I bought a MacBook only because I needed Mountain Lion for xcode 4.6 and my MacBook Pro couldn't upgrade to Mountain Lion. I downloaded Xcode 6 and it crashes the instant it opens. I tried downloading the previous Xcode, same thing. I was curious if this has ever happened to anyone else, or if you have any idea what might be causing this? Here's part of the error report: NSUnderlyingError = "Error Domain=DVTPlugInErrorDomain Code=2 "Loading a plug-in failed." UserInfo=0x401b443a0 {DVTPlugInIdentifierErrorKey=com.apple.dt.IDE.IDESceneKitEditor, DVTPlugInExecutablePathErrorKey=/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/PlugIns/IDESceneKitEditor.ideplugin/Contents/MacOS/IDESceneKitEditor, NSLocalizedRecoverySuggestion=The plug-in or one of its prerequisite plug-ins may be missing or damaged and may need to be reinstalled., NSLocalizedDescription=Loading a plug-in failed., NSFilePath=/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/PlugIns/IDESceneKitEditor.ideplugin, NSLocalizedFailureReason=The plug-in U201ccom.apple.dt.IDE.IDESceneKitEditorU201d at path U201c/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/PlugIns/IDESceneKitEditor.idepluginU201d could not be loaded. It looks like you're missing the plugin for your home screen. When you first download an app and run it in xcode the plugin folder isn't included by default. You'll have to drag the plugin, doc, images and video folders into xcode. Did you do this? If so Im not sure what's going on... Josh

@Josh, The weird thing is that it crashes right after I double click the Xcode icon, even if I was going to create a new project that didn't involve a Buzztouch project. The MacBook is used, so I'm wondering if there could be some odd plugin from some other application that its seeing. Everything else, CS5, etc, is working fine on the machine, just doesn't want to open Xcode.

On the 3rd March, Buzztouch updated their source code to be compatible with Xcode 4.6 and iOS 6.1. So if you haven't re-downloaded the source code after 3rd March, then this is step 1. If you have updated the code recently, also make sure you have given Buzztouch your new Xcode version. You can do this by looking into your Developer Profile and updating your Xcode version. This will make the source code appropriate for your Xcode version.

Thanks Annadale, good to know. My xcode is crashing even when not using Buzztouch, so the mystery continues.

I think that a new release of Xcode was released about 3 days ago. The new version being Xcode 4.6.1.
