Frogman running self hosted!

Hi Gang, yesterday I got to the point :) I am on self-hosted now, running BT on my NAS linux server, Synology DS209+. It took me about half a day to get it running, not bad, it was my first contact with PHP and SQL. There were a few points when I thought it will not work in my configuration. What helped was RTFM with some experimenting. Cheers! Frogman

Thanks, my 2 cents: there was a part when I had to set up a folder "config" manually when setting up SQL, that took a while to find in the documents, it is a security measure. Then you have to have a look at the user you set up, because it may not have the right privileges. Also localhost needed to be set on. Then, you have to set privileges for the Files folder to 755... in reality you need to make it readable, writable and runnable for everybody for the time of install, and after you are up and running, change the settings to 755, otherwise you will not proceed. Installing on a NAS box? Very Impressive! I wasn't sure if that could work. Cheers! -- Smug
