Can't compile - Xcode 4.6.1 Two fatal errors in BT_screen_images.m

Hi All, I can't seem to compile and run a new iOS app after upgrading to Xcode 4.6.1. I've also just upgraded to self hosted 2.1.8 as well, so I'm not sure where the conflict might be? I have re-downloaded all plugins from the BT servers. I am basically getting 60+ semantic warnings and two fatal errors in the bt_screen_images.m file. See this screenshot for more info ... http://grab.by/kLji I've been poking around but wouldn't mind some suggestions? TIA Cheers Darrel

I have compared the BT_screen_images.m file with a previous project and they are identical apart from the appdelegate name ... so I'm guessing it's an Xcode problem? Next steps ... ?

Hi ictguy, Bt_screen is from a buzztouchmods plugin. These aren't updated in your version. I don't know if aal btmods plugins can be found updated but I saw some post around. So either get rid of every btmods plugin or make sure you update them. Best Regards, Danny

I am having a similar problem, which I only noticed yesterday. I downloaded a project a week or so ago, with no issues, but today if I download an IOS project it will not compile. I am self hosted and upgraded to 2.1.8 a while back and I am still on xcode 4.5.2. I have gone through and removed or updated third party plugins from buzztouchmods and refreshed every other plugin via the control panel. I now have two 'red' errors in bt_screen_images.m (and a ton of warnings!).

Hi AlanMac, You haven't updated (and I don't know if an update exists) the plugin: image gallery. Delete that folder from your xcode project and you will see that it compiles fine. Best Regards, Danny

Thanks Danny I tried, but there was a knock on effect that led to more errors. I deleted the .h and the .m. Is there a 'right way' and a 'wrong way ?.

Hi AlanMac, Just delete the whole folder (there are more than just 2 files in it). Just select folder and hit delete. That should work Bets Regards, Danny

Thanks @PSMDanny, That makes sense - I updated some other BTM plugins (RSS, header image etc) the other day. I only assumed that this was a BT core file because the copyright disclaimer read "Copyright 2011, David Book, buzztouch.com" so I assumed it was all David's work? There was no mention of other authors ... :( I'll get rid of if it and see if that fixes the problem (I can can use Mac Image Gallery, Thumb viewer and @raoul's photoswipe hack on Android for the galleries) Once again thanks for helping out :) Cheers Darrel

@AlanMac, I got the knock on effect too! Removed the whole BT_screen_images folder and then the Quiz plugin started complaining ... removed the references to the photo .h & .m files and sone more errors popped up :( I think I'll remove the plugin completely from the server and re-download the source code and then see what happens. I'll report back for those following along. cheers

HI ictguy, Glad I could help. You are working with the btmods quiz plugin. You can use the official quizplugin from buzztouch if you want to add a quiz to your app. Best Regards, Danny

Yes, I use the quiz in one of my other apps. I use the image galley too! I am hoping david who runs buzztouchmods will organise a fix or two here, otherwise I will need to think about alternatives

Hi alanmac, Why not use the official quiz plugin from buzztouch self. Regarding images you could use mac image gallery or the thumbview plugin from the market. Best regards, Danny

Good advice Danny. The only reason is that (I imagine) it would mean reentering all the quiz data, which I would prefer to avoid. For new apps though, the 'official' way seems like the best way.

I think I may be having the same problems and I wanted to see if this is correct. I'm compiling an older app from 4.3 to 4.6, I'm also getting 60+ semantic warnings and two fatal errors. This app uses some BTM plugins. Are you saying I need to delete all BTM plugins from this and any future apps. This app also contains the original BT quiz - should I also delete this and recreate? Thanks.

Hi Shenry, I don't know if all BTM plugins are updated to the new code. MY suggestion is to delete those folders from your xCode project. Also check the site (btmods.com) if there are updates, and if there are, update and re-download your app from your control panel. Hope this helps. Best Regards, Danny
