Revmob placement ID + Memory leak

hey guys have anybody tried using revmob's placement id? i can't make it work and i've tried experimenting on it. i've messaged the revmob team about this and this is what they said : ========== When you are using a banner object you have to have the ownership of it, in other words you have to retain it (just as wrote on the piece of code that you sent us). A fast and dirt way to solve this is: RevMobBanner *ad = [[[RevMobAds session] bannerWithPlacementId:@"5141e7295526af0800000001"] retain]; // you must retain this object ad.delegate = self; [ad loadAd]; [ad showAd]; Although this code leak the memory of the banner, a better approach is use a property on the view controller that shows the banner. ========= I've tried the code above and finally it worked! I am just worried about the memory leak. And i really didn't get the last sentence about using a property on the view controller. Are there any buzztouch heroes here that can help me out? :)

Why exactly do you need to make a banner placement ID? As far as I can tell, the only reason to do that would be if you wanted to pause banners in one part of the app and continue to show them in another. Otherwise, if that isn't the case, you are able to play/pause the default banner ad simply calling [[RevMobAds session] showBanner]; works for me

thanks for the response guys! im actually using the placement id to be able to split test it with another ad and see what converts best. although i have changed my mind. im going to stick to revmob for now. lol.
