How Do You Sell Your App? Or How Do You Charge?

I know this might be a stupid question, but I want to know how to sell an app built with buzztouch. Also, if a client wants you to manage and maintain their app, how do you charge? Do you charge per module they want edited? (I know that everyone values their time differently, but I'm talking in general) How do you do it yourself? And if you decide to sell your app that you developed with buzztouch, do you express that buzztouch was used to build the app? Have you created a bill of sales when selling an app? Thanks for your knowledge and experience.

Hi, it depends. You dont have to mention that its built with Buzztouch, it doesn't matter, as long as the client gets what he wants. You can charge, like a fee per screen, $50/$75, depends on your time value, or a full app price. It would depend on the complexity of the app and what it can. It doesn't mean necessarly more work for you, with BT you can add great features, with little effort. If its an app that requires updating, you can either sell that service, or if you have self hosted you can create a user for the client, and rent him the usage of your server. Hope it helps. Cheers. Miguel

@ SuVinay my friend, why don't you set up a webpage and put it always in your signature? Your English is good. You have a good record in BT that you can build on. What I would recommend to you: 1. set up a web: just see how the others structure it to learn the expectations of prospective customers 2. define product you can offer, stay with thing you can really deliver, about 2-3 products 3. put your web everywhere in your signature 4. build some portfolio, thing you can showcase, even easy stuff made for your friends for free is good 5. stress communication skills and ability to deliver milestones, this is what most US customers fear when talking to freelancers in India If you are able to produce that carousel plugin (whatever way, someone can program it for you), it would help get you customers. Just consult things attached to it on your web, where you offer services. Good luck! Frogman

@SuVinay The only task your web site has is to continue the conversation with the visitor. Ever been to a site and they gave you for free a great report to download, in exchange for an email address? That's it, that's exactly what you should do. If you want to try the free way, install Infinite Autoresponder, it is in PHP, free, somewhat limited, but hey, it does send those messages out. A better way is to to try out Aweber or some similar service. Most will give the first month for free and then 19 or 29 dollars for 1500 or 2500 subscribers on the lists that you make. Once you have a list, it is only a matter of good will and careful presenting of what you offer, that will turn those visitors into customers. Treat the subscribers in your list as normal people who want to give you a chance and, once they are ready, pay you for your services. Ask them in your emails what it is that they want and see whether you can meet them there.
