Since google have updated the SDK and API's now seemed as good a time as any to update and get the app completed. However, when I now run the app in the AVD my apps screen layout is incorrectly rotated 90 anti CW. The tabs are up the left hand side. Rotating the screen doesnt fix the problem, its as if the app has been designed in landscape. Probably a simple fix but I cant figure it out!? Help!!!! I've seen it using the Google API 11, where it worked just fine using Google API 8. Weird! Comments I'm interested in this as well. So what implications does this have to existing apps and perhaps more importantly what do I need to do to ensure my app doesn't get released like this as it is currently unusable? My sure my app can be run on the old API but I do use google maps? In AVD manager uncheck 'Hardware keyboard present' option and the device rotation will be in portrait again :) Comments @GoNorthWest cracked it!
