Updating an app - (just) adding a new plugin

Imagine that you're putting the finishing touches on an app. Everything is set & ready to go. Then, you decide to add a new plugin to the project. (I'm sure this never happens to a sane BTer). Normally, I would consider downloading the new source code and be done with it. Replace the current package with a new one. However, (dramatic pause), I have added RevMob, some CSS, JS, JQuery, etc to it - and if I download the new package, I have to update all those files I added (many months ago). The long-winded question, is this: What IF, I downloaded the new code, added the plugin folder and updated the config file? I know it sounds lazy, but I'm just trying to make it a little more simple & getting the thing done. Would that work? Thanks as always -

just add the plugin to the code, if you need the old code plugins I've still got them, as they have been updated lately. Then change the versions of BT_appDelegate to yourAppp_delegate your good to go

Oh - the sweet sound of easy-ness. Funny enough, it's adding YOUR brilliant carousel plugin! Coincidence? As always, I appreciate your assistance and insight.

Good to see this- I am in the same boat. It is Kittsy's great carousel plugin (the updated version coming sometime soon I believe) that I would like to add in without starting again... Thanks.

The update will just be able to drag in the new code hopefully.

Yes, not sure how it will go yet, but as always, Kittsy has the answer to all our problems! Chris (from the Kittsy supporter club!)

aquilla this happens more often than not to most buzztouch developers, I made a quiz app not released due to copyright issues, but I spent months procrastinating adding funkier code, putting push notifcations in, changing menu layouts. Oooh that looks cool let's add it, it's all part of the process.

I wonder if they too encounter the hurdles (and errors in compiling) as I have today. I believe I get the overview of what needs to happen - but xcode is not cooperating with me: 1) Download the new package 2) Drag the carosel plugin from that package into the older project's plugin file 3) Drag that into Xcode 4) cut & paste the config file. ... and new errors come up. I'm wondering if my error is in the 'show design' or 'live mode' config file... As you might be able to tell - I'm a little stuck at the moment
