I suppose it's all perspective. I fully expect that the 'average' app developer income is indeed $90,000. However, I'm also taking into account the millions of dollars that the Zuckerbergs made to offset the pennies I'm bringing in. Somewhere, the average comes out to around $90K. ;) Cheers! -- Smug

Cool, nice to see an encouraging article about app development for once...seems like everybody else is obsessed with how the "App Store is a lottery" and "0.0001% of app developers make any money"

If I worked 37-40 hours per week on app development i'd be disappointed with that income!

It may be a wix.com ad....but the point is with buzztouch you can think outside the box don't you think? I feel comfortable to head to any venue; android, amazon, wix, facebook....the mad skills I have learn here gives me the confidence to tackle other projects other than android/apple. I feel I am in my freshman year still with buzztouch and there is so much more to learn. However, every day I learn so much more than any other "app maker" site I have come across. Keep dreaming! Google took 30% and postponed the payoff for about 15 days, so in the end of the day I got about 5$. According to my calculations, it happened in January, so now I am waiting for the remaining 89,999,995$. If someone is interested in buying the copyright to my HELLO WORLD app, it is still free, but hurry up, the offer is very limited, there is only Android app left for only 17,999$ a iOS is not published yet, so I offer a logo placement on the splash screen for 37,999$, plus I can offer a badge and a small metallic statue of the donor in Záhorská Bystrica, Slovakia, right in the middle of my garden, or any place you choose for extra 5,000$! Now back to reality: wix is spending huge money in internet marketing, their ads are jumping from every screen and it seems they are going to win the next election here! I would not really consider their marketing numbers too precise. Rather call it wishful thinking. I can imagine that it is possible to make 90k US$ if you have good coding experience and you are willing to work as an expat. Still, there is very good chance to earn even better money thanks this wonderful tool called Buzztouch for the simple reason: it educates you to learn how to produce an app, see how the code was made and achieve goals. Anybody with a good idea can produce something funny or useful and sell it. It does not matter what is it. Important is only that your customers like it and are willing to pay for it. I heard many theories why it is hard to make money with apps. It is true to the extent that if you choose to code another Rovio like game, you have little chances, because you cannot spend millions for marketing. True. That would make no sense anyway. So why not come with some easy idea for a well chosen target group, produce gorgeous graphics and market it through FB and tap for tap etc... Have a look at app called Buzzwords (Appstore, the name similarity is just coincidence). It is simple, low cost and provides real value for non native speakers. Anybody can produce such thing with a little of effort in the brain tissue. Even better with Buzztouch.
