iPad Simulator Frame

Hey All, I can't seem to figure out a way to make my iPad simulator look like an actual device with the frame/border and menu button. I am able to do it for the iPhone, by selecting iPhone instead of 3.5 or 4, but not for the iPad simulator. Does anyone know how to accomplish this? I'm using Xcode 4.5.1, with 6.0. Thanks Anthony

There's zoom option somewhere the simulators menu. This is due to your computer's resolution. Miguel

The simulator won't look like a proper device. It tries to achieve the look of the screen, not the border around it. What's the need for a a real looking device anyway. All you want is the screen. On a large 27 inch Mac like mine, the borders will show, because there is enough resolution on the screen to add a few decals. But if you used an iPad screen on an Macbook 13inch, then you probably have to sacrifice the decals on the outside of the device. Android is the same. You don't get the real device on the emulator, just the screen and a few controls. What's the need in the border, aside from looking good?

@raddoc I use an app called Reflector have used it for a number of months even the mighty David uses it now after a gift form Kaybee. This uses air play to mirror your device to your mac screen this gives lovely faux device effect in black and white. It is an excellent resource to showcase your app for you tube and at $15 is a snip. It also has it's built in video and screenshot which also helps with rotation. I've used it in my carousel youtube vids at www.youtube.com/kittsapps it's also good for showcasing stuff which involves the camera such as aurasma. https://www.reflectorapp.com

@ Kittsy, Thank for the suggestion. I'm gonna check it out now @Annandale, looking good is everything when showing a sample or demo of the app in action. That is my main goal, Presentation. The simulator works fine but has no appeal.

plus you can set a green background to go behind your simulated device, which means if your anygood with video editing stuff you can add a cheeky green screen effect and superimpose it onto somthing else
