The right SPOT!

Hey, Can someone please tell me how to set the varible home environment in eclipse, this is the warning i get everytime i start eclipse. Warning: The environment variable HOME is not set. The following directory will be used to store the Git user global configuration and to define the default location to store repositories: 'C:Users ussell'. If this is not correct please set the HOME environment variable and restart Eclipse. Otherwise Git for Windows and EGit might behave differently since they see different configuration options. Thank u

Hi Tyree, I've never had this pop up when doing an Eclipse install. But, here's some info on configuring Git that might help: http://git-scm.com/book/en/Getting-Started-First-Time-Git-Setup Mark

Ah! Did you download the Eclipse source code and actually compile it? Instead of the super easy Eclipse ADT Bundle, which is just unzip and run? If so, head over here and grab the right bundle for your system (I advise 32-bit for Windows): http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html Then use these videos to get it all installed: https://www.youtube.com/user/GoNorthWest/videos?flow=grid&view=0 Major props to you if you actually compiled Eclipse! That's quite a feat! Mark

So, is it still now working? If not, I'd advise just deleting the entire installation and starting over. Something must have gotten messed up. Assuming that you have Java installed, it's literally as easy as downloading the Eclipse ADT Bundle, unzipping it, and double-clicking the eclipse.exe file. That should launch everything, and you should be ready to roll.

Hey, This is what eclipse said: [2013-03-07 22:55:12 - DDMS] DDMS files not found: C:\ADT Bundle\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64\sdk\platform-tools\adb.exe
