Strongly recommended to anyone who wants a better idea of how buzztouch works! After re-watching this session, I managed to get my device to register in push notifications but come up with another problem, luckily Shaun had already suggested a solution in the webinar (using PHPs fsockopen) and that's helped me realise the problem is at my host as opposed to anything in buzz touch.
