Case of the vanishing icon

This is for an iOS (1.5) app. (1.5)? I know... Getting ready to send it over to the folks in Cali, using GoNorthWest's wonderful tutorial, I finished archiving the app. Curious thing happened on the way to the app store. The app icon vanished and was replaced by this grey icon: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5gqqjhdwltbzk1h/1.png?m I might consider myself David Copperfield for this act of magic, but I've been all over the boards on stack overflow and unable to find out how to get them back. Naming conventions, as outlined in the app store are correct. I'm just not sure how to make this work now. Any suggestions, or has anyone else run across this error?

The iOS icons are in your 'BT_Art' directory of your package... It should be icon_57.png, and a few others for the different resolutions... Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks Smug - But in 1.5 it's BT Images, I'll try to compile and put them in there. On Stack Overflow, one person recommended putting it in the root directory.

In iOS it really doesn't matter 'where' the icons are, as long as Xcode 'knows' the images are there. All the 'BT_' directories are there for housekeeping, and while images/resources are 'added' to the project, it doesn't matter where they live. Did you 'copy' the icons into the directory, or 'add' them. Big difference. https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Adding_Files_To_A_Project_v1.0.pdf Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks again buddy - I definitely added them in the way he has it illustrated. Strange error indeed.

Hmm... I'm drawing a blank then. It might be due to version differences, but if so, I'm not sure what the fix is... Try doing a search using myskylla.com's custom buzztouch search engine. Maybe something happened before that is buried in there. Let us know how this turns out! Cheers! -- Smug

I know - it's the first time I've gone through this step using (1.5) and xcode 4.5.2 odd.. At this stage I might try to download the whole package again and start over.. again.

I just found this article: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9800761/xcode-4-3-missing-icons-for-ios-apps-in-organizers-archives Perhaps removing the .png from CFBundleIconFiles I'm not sure if this will do the trick with 4.5.2, but it's worth a shot.
