I joined this fine group on March 1st. I've been looking at the videos in BuzztouchU. I decided to try to set up a self-hosted control panel. I started around 9 PM on March 3rd and now it's about 12:30 AM March 4th. Got my domain name at namecheap: mobileapptoolbelt.com (do you like it?). Set up my cPanel account on one of my cloud vps servers (I own a web hosting company) and followed the instructions in Buzztouch Server Tutorial.pdf. The only issue I ran into (that I know about :-) ) was that I snagged a stray space when I copy-and-pasted the API key. It took me about 10 minutes to be able to see this. Now, the sever validates. I uploaded all the plugins. So, it looks like a fresh install of BT-server is working OK after the massive update on Sunday. I wanted to wait until that was done before I tried this install. Now, I haven't built any apps yet and I don't know if I have the right ports open for APN, but I'll find out soon enough. Off to bed I go -- I'm tired and I have to get up for work in the morning.

@LocalMobileColorado - CONGRATULATION! I need to start with this too. Until now I am only dreaming about it and collecting the energy of the sun, water... whatever excuses. Great to hear you succeeded. I remember Colorado very well (used to go to Louisville and Boulder), that is the place I want to be working and coding and enjoying life when I get a little better in selling apps! Toolbelt sound fine, maybe you can design a logo with a phone in a toolbelt for your server! Think about it.
