Errors in Eclipse - XML Syntax and a bunch of others

https://www.dropbox.com/s/s9pvtgicnw5k24r/Screen%20Shot%202013-02-28%20at%2012.06.11%20PM.png Hi all, This is a screen shot of a bunch of errors I am currently getting in Eclipse. This is a completed project that I just uploaded to Google Play yesterday with no problems. When I went back into it today, I got all these errors. Can’t understand it. I have tried setting debug to “false” I re-downloaded the source code and imported the project again - no joy. I am also getting: Error generating final archive: Unable to get debug signature key BT_activity_root Unknown Android Packaging Problem Any ideas anyone? Many thanks

Hi @Dervalo, You using any database or anything like that? When you first uploaded to Play, it accepted the APK and the signature key? You want to set the debug to false for release to the public. LA

Hi there @LA, I am not using a database and the upload to Google Play with the signature key went fine. I have switched to true for debug and now I just get this one error message: Error generating final archive: Unable to get debug signature key BT_activity_root Unknown Android Packaging Problem Stackoverflow talks about deleting the .android directory and rebuild but I have never been able to find these files on my mac. I will keep trying….

I’ve got it. It seems if you get this error you need to delete the entire .android directory. It rebuilds when you rebuild your project. This is where I got the tip: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7698636/error-generating-final-archive-unable-to-get-debug-signature-key Then to find the .Android directory on my mac, I followed this http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6915847/android-eclipse-where-can-i-find-the-users-user-name-android-debug-keystore-f Of course, I am still at a loss as to how and why that happened in the first place, Thanks for reminding me to switch to debug “false"… that reduced the errors down to this one instead of a million and one!!
