Any suggestions or current successful apps

I have been asked to create an app for my church and wondered if anyone has ever created an app or have any suggestion on where to begin in order to make sure that I am able to get this approved when it comes time to submit it to the AppStore and Play Store? They are looking for general info and podcast capabilities as well as push notifications to name a few. Thanks in advance.

Hi @cyborg2g, Should be pretty simple to through a few basics together for your church App. Not sure on the podcast. You might be able to link the podcast within the App. LA

I think someone here did an app for their church before. I remember reading a post about it. If you search the app store for "church" you'll get some ideas of what can get approved. Most seem pretty basic to me. Gateway's looks pretty slick.

Hi cyborg2g, if you look into my profile, I just created a simple app for one Christian Community Center in Slovakia. I only submitted it for Slovakian appstore (it is in Slovak), not for the US, but you might be able to download it with the link provided and see the structure. It was approved without any problem, I suggest to keep the following rules: 1. make it look really beutiful, graphic impression is very important 2. do not ask for all countries to be distributed, limit it to where you need it 3. definitely include there something funny, that is a kind of unusual user experience I did not use podcasts, I am not that far. But I believe it can be done, you just need to search a little. Push notifications are definitely manageable through BT, but be prepared that it may take a little more work and expectation need to be set right at the customer side, as the customers usually believe that everything is done with a tap of a finger. Cheers, Frogman

Hi cyborg2g, is your client interesting streaming podcasts? There are some user using the AT53 Video plugin to stream their live radio broadcasts.
