BuzzTouch Apps Template Market Place

Hello pals As you know like web, app development is new ride of future. At buzztouch our friends develop their plugins and Modules. What if anyone can discuss to start developing Fully created 'white label Apps Templates'. This will help new developer to understand the flow of apps as well as to implement their ideas using Apps Templates. I don't know any issues may arise similar apps for getting accepted by apple or Google. This can work perfectly fine with small changes for Local Business, hotels/restaurants, small businesses, beauty shops and many more. What do you think?

I've kind of thought about that with my real estate app... It basically uses only plugins available via the BT plugin market, and seems to be doing rather well, locally (which is the market for it anyway...) However, it's hard to provide for some aspects of a 'white label' app within buzztouch, without some kind of 'total app import' capability into the control panel. I've thought about maybe doing some sort of a "config.txt" import, where you could share apps by importing the config.txt into your control panel, but that's a long way off to any reality; it's still just a thought. And that still leaves the question; if I wanted to 'give' you an app, how is it delivered? Up to now, my only solution is a PDF tutorial with lots of screen shots. Which I think is fine, because if someone 'builds' it, they'll have a much better understanding than if I just gave them the code... GoNorthWest has a slew of quality tutorials... We probably just need to collate them into a series of BTU tasks of some nature... a good portion of the questions asked/answered are already covered in his tutorials. Just my take on the process... Good topic! Cheers! -- Smug

Smug On the same topic .. I working on ( on paper) a way to create simple apps for local businesses.. However I may find that some apps might be almost the same but a few minor changes and of course content. Is there a way on buzztouch to duplicate a app without starting all over from scratch?

Funny you should ask; Mr. David and I have been co-authoring a Self Hosted server mod for this very purpose. It's a screen copy function. It's pretty slick. You select a 'source' app, you select a 'target' app, and you select the screens you want copied. Press the button and voila. duplicate screens (with unique guid's and all the behind the scenes niceties) in your target app. It works great, but my code leaves a lot to be desired, lol! Mr. David is a good partner; he takes my crappy code and beautifies it, and gives it the Buzztouch feel, which my native stuff sorely lacks. The deficiencies it has is, it doesn't do menus, and if your screen using a navbutton link, that will be invalid. Otherwise, it operates seamlessly, and even does quizzes and questions, although I only tested on 3 question quizzes. Let's run a couple hundred through there and see how it comes out, lol! I suspect it should be finished in the next week or so at the most. In the meantime, He is kind enough to host my 'multi-file uploader' which enables you to upload multiple files at once, rather than one by one. It's a little timesaver... Cheers! -- Smug
