App Icon not showing

Hi, I have a problem of displaying app icon. currently the icon is set to default ( ZZ image). I have changed my own app icon image at dashboard but for some reason after recompile and regenerate the .apk , it still use the old app icon (zz image). Anyone able to help me how to correct this? Thanks a million

Hmm... I'm not sure why it wouldn't provide the correct icon, unless you added the icon to the control panel 'after' you downloaded your package. If that was the case, then it doesn't 'download' the new icon; you'll have to either download the package again (which is a bother) or just replace the icon. In iOS, the 'default' icon is called 'icon_57.png', and there is also 'icon_72, 114, and 144 for the other devices and sizes. These are located in the 'BT_Art' directory. In Android, the icon is called 'icon.png' and is located in your 'res/drawable' directory. Also, if you have created other resolutions for higher/lower quality screen androids, they will be in res/drawable-hdpi, res/drawable-ldpi and like that... Hope this helps. Cheers! -- Smug

Smug, That's correct. I add the icon after I download the package and compile in dev mode. so your suggestion is to replace the icon.png to my own image and regenerate the binary? Thanks

Pretty much, yes. Just remember that Buzztouch will create all the icons for you. Since you didn't get those icons you'll have to create all the sizes yourself. close your project in Xcode, or just quit xcode. Go to your projects folder; the icons will be in "BT_Art". replace Icon_57.png with your icon, sized 57 x 57 pixels. replace Icon_72.png with your icon, sized 72 x 72 pixels. Same thing with icons 114 and 144. and in android, same thing with all those icons in the res/drawable, res/drawable-ldpi and so on... If they don't show up at first, delete the app from the device and reinstall... that should clear it up. Cheers! -- Smug

@Nelaye, If everything still doesn't work what @SmugWimp said, rename your icon the same as buzztouch default icon, delete the default icon, and yours would replace buzztouch default icon. Hope that makes sense. LA

Awesome @nelaye! With Eclipse it's easier just replace! LA
