Can I use Easy In App Puchase Plugin for Auto-Renew Subscriptions

I have successfully implemented the plugin to sell IAP screens in my app. I would like to add a section to allow for users to subscribe at a yearly rate. When researching auto renewable subscriptions in itunes connect, its aks for reference name but not a product id. I know in the plugin I would usually enter the product id and match it in itunes but that doesnt seem to be the case with subscriptions. Instead, it only asks for a reference name? Is my product id in my plugin also my reference name for subscriptions? What is the shared secret used for? Can anyone shed some light on the process.
