Interesting! I find myself about 90% of the time in the "Discovery" usage and 10% elsewhere. For me, the greatest thing about a mobile phone is that I have facts at my fingertips! Mark

I'm leaning towards 'Hooey'. The data sampling is way too small to be valid. Just my opinion. I didn't go to Harvard. Cheers! -- Smug

Thanks fot posting this info, it helps better understand the needs of the users. My conclusion: 1. first half time is spent for entertainment - passive consumption of whatever is available 2. second half time spent in an active way for necessary things to keep life rolling plus some social interactions. Who wants to make money, need to target entertainment. Who wants to improve things, need to target the second half, and compete with things that users need to do as their everyday routine. Cheers! BTW, SmugWimp is true that about 1k participants is not too much to tell real statistics, besides we do not know how they were chosen. So in fact this may be a little distorted vision serving some unidentified needs. On the other hand, please have a look at the most popular apps in appstore for the last years, data from Apple: the first 10 places are almost all just games like Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja. This would correlate with the basic idea of the poll. Cheers, Frogman

Frogman, agreed on all counts. And I'm not saying they're 'wrong', I just don't see enough data to 'prove' they're right. My initial thoughts are they surveyed someplace near a college. Valuable data, but not convincing enough for me to make a decision based on it. Cheers! -- Smug
