This could be done without too much difficulty I believe. On iOS, a menu screen has to be 'built' before it is displayed. So, the search bar would have to do a loop through the child items for matching criteria, then rebuild (or "reload") the table (menu) data. Because of this processing, it would probably be best to show the results of the search only once a "done" button has been pressed. You could try it on any change in the text field for the search bar, but it may be too much for the device. I don't know. I'm not sure what the process would be on Android, but it's probably not any more complicated. Your best bet is to create the plugin using interface builder.

Danny's Design Menu already incorporates this, or at least something similar. You can see it in action on my "Urbana IL" iOS app. You can enable the top search feature and it will search through all your child items. Regards, Andy
